Congratulations! You've done it! Week 5 of 5 Ways to be Happier, and Less Depressed about your Website! For a brief re-cap lets see where we've been: Week 1 we learned to leave our ego at the door; Week 2 we asked for a little help from our friends; Week 3 we learned non-attachment; Week 4 we did a little spring cleaning. Which brings us to our present Week 5: Positive Pages.
Each page on your website should have a clear purpose and should help transition the viewer smoothly in the direction you desire. Think usability.
Here are a few final website tips to keep in mind:
- If you have additional educational information you want to share with your viewers, don't overwhelm them with a massive amount of content on your pages. Call to Actions are the perfect place to put this information. Having a potential client/customer be able to Download a Whitepage, Sign up for a Webinar, or Sign up for your eNewsletter are perfect ways to proivide additional information while Provide links to other pages or contact information to reach you.
- Products should professional quality images. You have a professional business and your website should display that.
- Check-out should be simple and hassle free.
- Contact information should be easy to find and contact forms are easy to use and allows you to capture leads.
Remember: It is a growing process, so try not to be too hard on yourself. Keep analyzing and exploring options to see what is working best for your customers.
A critical look and some good advice is a great start. At the end of the day, your website should be bringing you happiness, not bringing you down.
