PORTLAND, Maine (November 14, 2011)- Becky McKinnell, President and Founder of iBec Creative, was announced the winner of the world renowned Stevie Award for Women in Business- Best Young Entrepreneur on Friday at the awards ceremony in New York City.
McKinnell is the first person from Maine to win a Stevie Award for Women in Business since the awards began in 2004, earning the award for her companys substantial growth over the past year, her personal dedication to community service, and her outstanding achievements as a young entrepreneur.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide. The awards are one of four Stevie Awards programs, which have been hailed as the worlds premier business awards.
More than 1,300 entries a record for the competition - were submitted this year for consideration in 75 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, Women Helping Women, and Communications Campaign of the Year.
