At iBec Creative developers love to write code. We also enjoy games so combining those things just seems to make sense. Matt Belair found a website that does just that. http://toys.usvsth3m.com/javascript-under-pressure/ It gives you simple problems to solve using Javascript while a clock runs, timing you. Its a very simple concept but also fun for developers to try to write code quickly without looking up syntax or asking for help. As one would expect the first level wasnt very hard but they did increase in difficulty as you went up levels. We dont have time to tell you all how we did as we had to stop playing and get back to making awesome websites but maybe Ill give it another go this weekend and post mine in the comments. Ill be sure to dare my coworkers to do the same.
If you know Javascript and want to try the game definitely do so and post your time and levels completed in the comments below. Wed love to know how others did as well but dont cheat...well know! If you dont know Javascript but would like to learn there is a great website that uses the same kind of application to teach javascript called Code Academy. I think it's both fun and educational! Or if coding isnt your thing they have a few other games like this I havent tried yet:
You cant do simple maths under pressure
You cant write proper english under pressure
Or if you are super nerdy:
You cant do binary under pressure
