Foursquare for Business (Part 2 of 2)

Last week we introduced you to Foursquare and showed you how to sign up and claim your business venues. This week we're diving into how to utilize Foursquare for your business. Check out the list below for promotional tips and resources available with Foursquare.

Specials, Stats, and Marketing

1. Specials- Foursquare allows businesses to offer specials and incentives for people who visit their locations and "check-in" the most. It's kind of like a "buy 10 coffees, get the next free" punch card. There are specials for the "Mayor" of your venue, frequent check-in specials, and others- all to entice people to visit your more often!

2. Stats -Foursquare offers businesses check-in statistics that are like Google Analytics for your physical shop. Get information on your most recent visitors, total check-ins per day, demographics of customers and more!

3. Marketing - Businesses can market in store with signs that tell customers to check on Foursquare for specials - and Foursquare provides templates for signage! Foursquare also promotes venue specials through mobile devices, so if you're running a special, it will notify its users who are in your area and this can drive physical traffic to your business.
