News: Strengthen Your Brand!

Aug 14, 2009

Your logo, colors, fonts, photography and graphics all contribute to your brand image. To ensure that your visual identity is successful at making a positive impression, these elements need to be cohesive and align with your company's customer experience and goals.

Below you'll find a useful technique to determine if your brand materials fit together.

Enjoy!

Gather together everything that has to do with the look of your brand- your logo, a screen shot of your website, business cards, brochures, anything that has the name or logo of your company printed on it and lay them all out on a table.

Now, look at everything and ask yourself the following:

  1. Is the color scheme consistent across the board?
  2. Does any piece stick out or look like it doesn't match?
  3. Do the graphics and photography convey the same
  4. message as the rest of the materials- do they "fit"?
  5. Do you feel they are representative of your company?

If anything looks "off" or like it doesn't belong, then it may need to be revised or replaced. Inconsistency within a brand creates weakness and confusion, so review your materials carefully.
